FAITH’s Cole, Braun earn national recognition

(December 1, 2014) — Stephenville FAITH senior spread back and linebacker Shadd Cole has once again earned national recognition.

The National Homeschool Football Championship Series named Cole its Division II Player of the Year last fall. The NHFCS has re-organized and expanded its awards. This fall, Cole has been named the runner-up for National Offensive Player of the Year and runner-up for National Defensive Player of the Year.

Fellow FAITH senior Joey Braun was fifth in the offensive player ratings and third in the kicker of the year process.

FAITH knocked off Fort Bend Homeschool 38-29 at Benson Stadium in San Antonio Saturday for its fourth straight Texas Christian Athletic League Six-Man Division II state title.
