It’s that time of year again, the weather is cooler and everything seems to just smell like Christmas. And that means it’s time for the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce and SPARD’s Holly Jolly Christmas event in the downtown plaza and courthouse square. This year’s event will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
According to Chamber officials, the annual event has everything from awesome, local holiday shopping and yummy treats to lighted hay rides around the square and a visit from the famous holiday couple themselves. Holly Jolly Christmas is the perfect time to get those kids to see Santa Claus. He and Mrs. Claus don’t miss Stephenville’s Holly Jolly event, and this year is no different. The pair will be meeting with the public and posing for pictures in the plaza where the city’s official tree will be lit at 6 p.m.
In addition to the excitement going on in the plaza, there will also be all kinds of booths and vendors set up around the square. Vendors will have various kinds of homemade treats, fun games for the kids and handmade holiday arts and crafts, and will also allow local charitable organizations to sell items for fundraising efforts.
