Travis Dale Rasberry (82) of Dublin was born April 3, 1932 in the Greens Creek community of Erath Co., Texas to John Amos Rasberry and Eula Mae (White) Rasberry. He went to be with his LORD on January 7, 2015 at the Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Clarence, Cecil, and Wilber Rasberry and one sister, Lola Crouch. He married his high school sweetheart, Melba Loyce Cline on May 21, 1950 in Dublin at the First United Methodist Church parsonage. He is survived by his wife, Melba of Dublin; daughter, Brenda Rasberry of San Antonio, Kenneth Rasberry and wife, Laurie of Prosper, Texas; one grandson, Ryan Rasberry and wife, Robyn of Ft. Worth; his granddaughter, Hope Rasberry of Prosper, and one great-granddaughter, Bela Jackson of Ft. Worth and his sisters-in-law, Winnie Rasberry of Mansfield, Texas and Carolyn Smith and husband, Max; and a host of other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly. Travis was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 504. He served on the Dublin DISD School Board, the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Dublin, was a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and was a Charter member of the Dublin Lions Club. He began his grocery career at age 13 with A & P Company. He was the owner of Berry’s Food Store in Dublin and Stephenville until 1969. He retired from “Buddies”/Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. in 1987 as the Vice President, division manager of the Ft. Worth Region. He was a member of the First Christian Church and attended First United Methodist Church.
