The Cardinals trailed 35-32 before the big third quarter, which put them ahead 53-44. They finished off the win with a 17-11 edge in the fourth.

Brady Sult scored eight points and drew a positive review from third-year head coach Kade Eckert.

“He really adds another dimension for us on the perimeter,” said Eckert. “That’s going to help us a lot moving forward into district.”

Meine Huisman scored six points, pairing with Hagood to provide 21 points from the center position.

Four Cardinals – Tom VanKranenburg, Bailey Fenn, Devon Corpus and Colbe Stoker – scored four points each, and Bret Cogburn added three.

The Cardinals jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead, then faltered through the rest of the opening half.

“We started fast and were playing our style of basketball then we just lost focus on what we were doing, especially on defense,” said Eckert.

Priddy ended the first on a 13-4 run to cut Lingleville’s lead to 16-15, then outscored the Cardinals 20-16 in the second for a three-point edge at intermission.
