STEPHENVILLE (January 230, 2015) — The funeral arrangements for Camron Owens have been set and are scheduled for Wednesday, January 21 at 2 p.m. at the Addison Funeral Home in Spring, Texas.
The address to the funeral home is 18630 Kuykendahl; Spring, TX 77379. Visitation will also be held at Addison Funeral Home tonight from 6-8 p.m. The funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
Owens, 21, was recent transfer to Tarleton State after coming in at the semester break from Cisco Junior College where he started for the Wrangler offensive line last season. He was found unresponsive in his Traditions Hall dorm room just before 7 p.m. January 13 and was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville.
“We are greatly saddened by this loss and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” said President F. Dominic Dottavio.
Athletic Director Lonn Reisman joined in expressing his deepest sorrow by saying, “On behalf of the Tarleton State Athletic Department, we give our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Camron’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
Tarleton’s Student Counseling Center services are available for friends and classmates. The Counseling Center is located in room 212 of the Thompson Student Center, or may be contacted by calling 254-968-9044 to make an appointment. There is no cost to meet with a counselor and everything discussed is held in the strictest of confidence.
