‘Positively Dublin’ Chamber Banquet honors several residents

DUBLIN (January 26, 2015) — Luke Wade wasn’t the only Dublin resident rocking the old rock gym Monday night for the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Banquet. With help from some of your favorite Dubliners, Chamber Executive Director Luanne Schexneider honored a number of noteworthy community members.

Dublin ISD Superintendent Dr. Rodney Schneider presented Michael Haley with the Volunteer of the Year Award. Kassi Jurney presented Dr. Brandi Harris (of Dublin Family Dentistry) with the Business Leader of the Year Award. Patty Sjolin presented the Spotlight on Excellence Award to Ike Wade for his countless hours of service to the community. DISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Bob Cervetto presented Clyde Shubert with the Citizen of the Year Award. Karen Wright presented the award for Faith in the Future of Dublin to Thomson Services. Schexneider presented the Kenneth McDaniel “Hello, My Friend” Award to Myra Sojourner. Gary Kafer and Kenny Horton presented Luke Wade with the Bill Kloster Ambassador Award for representing Dublin across the country and around the world.
