Services for Tommie L. Chapman, 91, banker and rancher, who died Thursday, March 5, 2015, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Tommie was born in Ellis County, Texas, on April 18, 1923, to John L. and Minnie (Johnson) Chapman. He married Eloise Craig on October 9, 1959, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2001.

He was a member of Green’s Creek Baptist Church and for numerous years he served as an Election Judge, the Democratic Party Chairman, and President of Iredell State Bank.

Survivors include son, Glenn Ray Collier, Sr., and his wife, Sue, of Granbury; grandchildren, Tommie Kaye Kiser and her husband, Gary, of Keller, Lynda Sue Cobb and her husband, Lee, of Lorena, and Glenn Ray “Butch” Collier, Jr., and his wife, Stacy, of Kempner; as well as nine great-grandchildren, numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
