STEPHENVILLE (March 22, 2015) — Enjoy a stuffed baked potato lunch and help provide school supplies for Stephenville students. It’s a classic win-win combination.

Members of Stephenville First United Methodist Church invite the community to its Potato Luncheon on March 24. Proceeds from the fundraising event will be used to purchase school supplies for Stephenville ISD students.

“This is our 27th Annual Potato Luncheon, and we serve approximately 800 potatoes,” said FUMC member Kim Cummings. “There are three options for our diners. Eat lunch with us at the church, pick up your potato lunch in a carryout box, or have us deliver larger orders to you at no additional charge.”

Those ordering potato lunches will pick up an order form at the FUMC office at 422 W. Washington. Completed order forms must be returned to the church office no later than noon on March 23. In addition to potato toppings such as chili or sour cream, all lunches include a side dish of vegetables, bread and a homemade dessert. Each potato lunch is $8, and orders of five or more are delivered for free.

First United Methodist Church of Stephenville is a mission-oriented church located in the heart of Stephenville, two blocks west of the courthouse square. The FUMC office phone number is 254.965.5046.
