FUNERAL SERVICES: 1:00pm, Monday, March 30th. in Harrell Memorial Chapel.

VISITATION: 6 to 8 pm. Sunday evening at the Funeral Home.

INTERMENT: Barbee Cemetery with U. S. Navy Military Honors.

MEMORIALS: To Edna Hill Baptist Church.

A. J. “Bill” Pettijohn was born on May 7, 1929 in Comanche Co., Texas. He went to be with his LORD on March 27, 2015 at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was the son of J. A. Pettijohn and Sarah Iva (Berna) Pettijohn. He was united in marriage to Lillian Marie Robertson on January 3, 1950 in Comanche Co., Texas and to this union 4 children were born. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Brenda Snider and Judy Sloan and also by 5 sisters, Patricia Nelson, Vivian Hays, Oleta Faye Robertson, Wanda Lee Edwards and Shirley Kirkland and 1 brother, Sam Floyd Pettijohn.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Pettijohn of Gustine, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law, A. J.,Jr & Jackie Pettijohn of Gustine, Texas; his daughter, Debora Webester of Houston, Texas; his sister, Dorothy Sharp of Dublin, Texas; his brothers, Henry Pettijohn of Joshua, Texas; Dennie & wife, Marilyn Pettijohn of Hico, Texas and his brother-in-law, Don Kirkland of Early, Texas area; his grandchildren: Lynn Lambert, Lisa Gentry, Leslie Hall, Misty Prince, Aaron Pettijohn, Krystal Gilmore, Kelly Wright and Heather Schad; 21 Great Grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

A. J. was a retired plumber, Baptist Pastor for many years, a member of the Edna Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Navy.
