Both Tarleton track teams earn national rankings

STEPHENVILLE (March 31, 2015) — Tarleton State has not just one but two nationally-ranked teams in track and field.

Tarleton State is ranked No. 18 in the men’s rankings and No. 23 in the women’s poll, conducted by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Lone Star Conference is a longtime power in track and field, and this year is no different. The Texans are joined in the national rankings by No. 3 Texas A&M-Commerce, No. 5 Angelo State, No. 10 West Texas A&M and No. 13 Texas A&M-Kingsville. The TexAnns are in a league that includes No. 4 Angelo State and No. 6 West Texas A&M.

Tarleton travels to San Angelo for the ASU David Noble Relays on Thursday.
