Cynthia Ann Parker passed away April 2, 2015 at Dove Hill Care Center in Hamilton, Texas. She was 99.
Cynthia was born March 10 ,1916 in Camery, Oklahoma to Bill and Fannie Guinn. As a young girl the family moved to Central Texas settling in the Bosque County area. She grew up there, attended school and met her husband to be Virgil Parker.
Virgil and Cynthia were married in Iredell, Texas by Pastor Lyle Jackson in 1930. To this union was born two children, daughter Barbara Jean, who died in infancy and a son Bobby J. who lives in Idaho.
They lived in the Pikesville area(between Iredell and Meridian) during their early married years, later moving to the Fairy area working in farming and ranching until Virgil’s death in 1975, then she made her home with her son and family (Bob, Doloris, Dean, Dwain and Diann in Waco, Texas. Later living in Clifton with her Aunt Alice Jeffrey when her son and family moved to Idaho to pastor there. Later she lived with her Mom & Dad to be a caregiver for them. She shared that role with Aunt Alice until her Mom & Dad passed away.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Parker, daughter Barbara Jean, her Mother Fannie Guinn, Father Bill Guinn, brothers – Edward, Harlon and Arthur.
She is survived by her son and wife Bob and Doloris Parker of Moscow, Idaho. Two grandsons, Dean Parker, Dwain Parker& wife Debbie also of Moscow. A granddaughter Diann Sanchez & husband Marvin of Kremmling, Colorado, seven grandchildren and two primary caregivers; nephews Sam & Conni Guinn of Hamilton, Chuck & Sheryl Guinn of Fairy. A number of relatives and friends.
The service for Cynthia will be April 7 at 10 AM in Fairy Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Ray officiating. There will be visitation Monday April 6th from 6 – 8 PM at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home Hico, Texas. Burial will be at the Hico Cemetery.
Cynthia was a faithful wife, loving Mother, dependable friend. She had a vital faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and embraced all the hope our Lord promised. She was a long term member of Fairy Baptist Church. She will be missed.

Service Information

Visitation will be held Monday, April 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Harvest Hills Funeral Home (located at 118 Second Street in Hico). Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7 at the Fairy Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Fairy Cemetery.
