GRANBURY (April 7, 2015) — That ground shaking rumble you feel? Nope, not the Yellow Jackets getting ready for next season. Not the DFW earthquakes either. It’s the second annual Rally ‘Round Our Heroes motorcycle rally and they’re looking for a few good men (and women) to join them!

Pecan Valley Centers have teamed up with the Wounded Heroes of Texas foundation for a special event for local veterans, their families and area community members April 10-12, 2015. The rally, which is held each year to increase awareness of mental health services available to veterans, is also a great way for organizers to raise funds for Veteran Services Programs in the area.

The event is call “Rally ‘Round Our Heroes-BATIWOW” (acronym for Bring Awareness To Invisible Wounds Of War) and consists of an entire weekend full of live music, auctions, raffles, Veteran Service providers and vendors, and featuring a two-hour honor ride.

Festivities at Saddlebags BBQ in Granbury (3636 W. Hwy. 377) kick off at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 10 and will end at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 12. Everything is free and open to the public, who organizers say are more than welcome.

“We’re so excited to be a part of this event and to help raise awareness for these great causes,” said Molly Mabery, Pecan Valley Centers Community Relations Coordinator. “And we hope everyone in the community makes plans to join us this weekend to support our heroes.”
