(April 11, 2015) — There is a state champion coming home to Dublin.
Dubliner Mayela Morantes, a senior, won first place in STAR-Career Investigation at the State FCCLA Conference in Corpus Christi this weekend.
Morantes advances to the national conference July 4-9 in Washington D.C., and wasn’t the only Lady Lion to fare well of the six groups that reached the event.
Dublin’s Dalia Ruiz and Prisma Esparza teamed up to place third in interpersonal communications. The Dublin teams are coached by Ryan Lewis.
Stephenville FCCLA is sending a team to the National Convention in DC as well! Advisor Beth Langley said Danielle Dunn and Aracely Pacheco received second in Promote and Publicize and will advanced to the national competition in July. Claudia Landa and Chenille Oliver earned third place in Chapter in Review Display.
