Erath County cowgirl Kelly Allen had the fastest ride in the barrel race, completing the course in 17.14 seconds to win $1,357. Allen also won last weekend’s CC5D barrel race at Lone Star Arena, riding Charge My Corona to a blistering 15.018, the fastest of 673 rides in the event. She has the fastest CC5D run of the year so far, yet was only 45-thousandths of a second faster than Kim Randle, who placed second last weekend with a time of 15.063 aboard Lil Red Tornado.

Note: The Flash Today will have a story later this week featuring barrel racer Kelly Allen and the CC5D event at Lone Star Arena.
