STEPHENVILLE (May 13, 2015) — Couldn’t make it out last Saturday for free mulch from the city of Stephenville? Worry not! The Stephenville Public Works Department, said the city would once again be offering free mulch on a first come, first served basis at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, weather permitting.
City officials said a large number of residents brought limbs, leaves and similar type storm debris to the Stephenville City Park following the first round of storms that passed through Erath County. They used that debris to make several large piles of mulch. While a number of residents came out last Saturday, officials said there was still mulch in the park.
So, beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, a crew from the Public Works Department will be on hand to help load mulch for and residents interested. The mulch is free to the public and crews will be in the park until 5 p.m. or the mulch is gone.
