SPECIAL TO THE FLASH
(May 28, 2015) — Henderson Junior High coach Wendy Pierce reached out to The Flash Today Thursday morning, sharing news of a broken record in seventh grade track and field. Ciara Johnston, a seventh grade student-athlete, set the school mark in the 300 meter hurdles, with a season-best time of 50.74 seconds. She topped the mark of 51.11 set by current Stephenville junior Mikayla Hobbs.
Johnston won both hurdle races – the 300s and the 110s – at the Quad-County District Meet in Weatherford.
