Williams maintains tie-down lead, others shoot up average in CNFR

STEPHENVILLE (June 18, 2015) — Tarleton State did some moving up and some holding on in the ongoing third go-round of the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming Wednesday evening.

Landon Williams stayed atop the average in the tie-down roping with a 9.4 to move into fourth in the round, while Devan Reilly jumped to second in the bareback average, covering his brock for 72.5 points. Shelby Hermann shot up the barrel race average, moving to second with a time of 13.75, good for second so far in the round.

Brody Cress did not score Wednesday in the saddle bronc competition.

The opening two rounds took place in special Sunday performances and through slack on Monday and Tuesday. The Third go began with the first rodeo performance Tuesday evening and continues through Friday, with cowboys and cowgirls striving to reach the short go on Saturday.
