Ranger College to hold freshman orientation sessions

Ranger College will get its preparations for the upcoming Fall semester under way over the next few weeks by holding its Ranger Round-Up freshman orientation sessions at its three main campuses. The sessions will enable incoming freshmen the opportunity to college resources, programs and services prior as well to ask questions prior to starting classes on.

“We look forward to meeting with all the prospective freshman and helping them get a head start on college,” said Stan Feaster, Ranger College Assistant to the President. “There will be a lot of important information available for students at the Rand-Up. Hopefully, by the time they leave, they will be on their way to becoming a successful part of Ranger College.”

The freshman orientation session will be held on July 23 on the main campus at Ranger College, on Aug. 7 at the Erath County campus in Stephenville, and on Aug. 14 on the Brown County campus in Brownwood.

Individuals wishing to attend any of the sessions will need to complete several documents and submit them to the college registrar prior to the start of their respective session. Among the documents needed will be a completed online application for college admission; a completed online Ranger Round-Up form along with a $20 registration fee; official SAT or ACT scores; official transcripts from any previous college coursework; and official high school transcripts or a copy of one’s General Equivalency Diploma (GED). All of the documents must be submitted to the college registrar at: Ranger College Registrar, 1100 College Circle, Ranger, Texas, 76470 or faxed to 254-647-3739.

In addition, students will also need to bring with them a bacterial meningitis form, a dorm application with a $50 application fee, and a pre-participation physical.
