Stingrays win nine events at Weatherford swim meet

(June 24, 2015) — Texas Amateur Athletic Federation swim season is back, and the Stephenville Stingrays celebrated its return by winning nine events at the Region IV-Circuit Meet 2 in Weatherford earlier this month.

Dillon Barber and Millard Leanmons won three events each, competing in the 13-14 boys and 11-12 boys divisions, respectively. Barber won the 50 yard backstroke, 50 breaststroke and 100 individual medley, while Leanmons won the 100 freestyle, the 50 freestyle and the 100 individual medley.

The Stephenville girls also found success, led by the 50 freestyle and 100 individual medley victories of Lily Fangman in the 13-14 division. Kameron Pritchard of the 9-10 age group won the 25 breaststroke.
