Rachel May Dunn, born May 12, 1921 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away July 28, 2015 in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 94.
Rachel was a bookkeeper before retiring to Hico, Texas in 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she worked for 14 years. She was a volunteer at the Hico Senior Center from 1993 to 2008. She enjoyed this and helped everyone she could. In July 2008 she moved to Corpus Christi to be near her sons. She was a member of Teha Lanna Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she served in almost every office while active, being a member since 1975.
Rachel was preceded in death by parents, husband WD “Dub” Dunn, son Emmett Lee Dunn, and brothers, JW Johnson, Merle Johnson, Paul Johnson, and Louis Johnson.
Surviving Rachel are son Walter “Danny” Dunn and wife Debbie of Corpus Christi, Texas, sisters; Juanita Pearson of Mission, Texas and Lucille McLain of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Also surviving Rachel are 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Falfurrias Nursing & Rehabilitation for their loving care and devotion to Rachel and her care.
