STEPHENVILLE (August 7, 2015) — Former Lingleville star Robert VanKranenburg confirmed Friday morning he is re-igniting his basketball career at Ranger College.

VanKranenburg, a four-time all-state pick at Lingleville, still has two years of junior college eligibility because he was injured and never played at Northlake College in Irving where he committed out of high school.

But the outside marksmen who led the Cardinals to three consecutive regional tournament appearances says he’s excited to revive his career at Ranger and excited to play for coach Billy Clyde Gillispie.

“He coached at Kentucky and I love Kentucky,” said VanKranenburg. “I’m excited to get to play again and excited to play for him.”

VanKranenburg will be teammates with past Stephenville standout Malik Taylor, who spent the last year as a redshirt in the Tarleton State University football program.
