J.C. Moon, 80, of School Hill, passed away August 12th, 2015 in Stephenville, Texas.
Grave side services will be August 14th, 2015 at 10:00am at School Hill Cemetery with Ryan Hurt officiating. Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm August 13th, 2015 at Stephenville Funeral Home.
J.C. was born December 5th, 1934 to J.T. and Flora Moon. He was a lifelong resident of Erath County and a member of Lingleville Baptist Church.
He married Patsy Bays on May 13th, 1953 and they raised five children while working as a dairy farmer and a rancher. J.C. served many years on the Lingleville school board and was on the Board of Directors for Farmers Milling Company. His hobbies included hunting and fishing; he enjoyed many outdoor activities with family and friends.
He is survived by four daughters, Connie Riley and husband James of Dublin; Cindy Hoppe and husband Therion of Fort Worth; Tammy Merriman of North Carolina; Becky Boen and husband Jackson of Garland; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, one brother and a host of nieces, nephews and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patsy Moon, son Brad Moon, grandson Wade Armstrong, brother Delton Moon and sister Donette Sadler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lingleville ISD LEAD program.
