STEPHENVILLE (August 13, 2015) — Area football teams conclude their second week of football practice with their first opportunity to exchange blows with an opponent.
Scrimmages highlight the football agenda throughout the weekend, with Stephenville traveling to Liberty Hill Saturday morning. If this were a game, it would be billed as a battle between two of the titans in Class 4A. Both are perennial powers with Friday Night Football Texas predicting Liberty Hill will reach the semifinals and Stephenville the quarterfinals in 4A Division I.
A few area scrimmages with start times for junior varsity (including freshmen) then varsity teams:
Friday:
Dublin at Venus; 6 and 7:30 p.m.
Moody at Hico, 6 and 7:30 p.m.
Lingleville at Lometa, 6 p.m.
Stephenville FAITH at Rising Star, 6 p.m.
Saturday:
Stephenville at Liberty Hills, 10 and 11 a.m.
