Services for Bobbie Doris Mims, 87, homemaker, who died Saturday, August 22, 2015, will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Mims officiating. Burial will follow at 12:00 pm, at Mitchell Cemetery, in Iredell, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Bobbie was born in Santa Anna, Texas, on April 30, 1928, to Ernest B. and Anna Dell (Brown) Jones. She married Clyde Howard Mims on July 21, 1945, in Anson, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1992. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Iredell, and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her children, David H. Mims and wife, Connie, of Stamford, Texas, Richard T. Mims and wife, Mary Lou, of Medina, Texas, Debra W. Hiilsmeier and husband, Don, of Hico, Texas, and Mary E. Mims of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Les, Stephanie, Heidi, Ritchie, Alicia, Denise, & Donya; eleven great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Jamie.
