GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Comanche County.

VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

MEMORIALS: If desired, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Jackson Loomis Bratton

Jackson Loomis Bratton, age 68, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at his home in Comanche County, Texas.

He was born on March 29, 1947, in Sterling City, Texas, to Alvis Truman and Capitola Bratton. Jackson was a United States Navy Veteran, serving in Vietnam. On July 14, 2001, he was united in marriage to Cathy Wright in Comanche. He retired from the railroad where he worked as a signal wireman. After he retired he enjoyed working to improve his place in the country and was always involved in a ‘project’. He was a good husband and family man and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Bratton of Comanche; sons, Larry Wayne Canba and partner of California and Shane Cloud and wife Rowdy of Lipan; daughter, April Colcleasure and husband Shawn of Comanche; six grandchildren: Zain Rodriguez, Zachary Rodriguez, Dylan Colcleasure, Daniel Cloud, Anna Cloud, and Luke Cloud; two brothers, Stanley Bratton and wife Glenda of Bedford and Charley Bratton of Proctor; sister, Clementine Dugan of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Jones.
