(September 16, 2015) — Aly Coughlin was named the Lone Star Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance last week.
After redshirting last season, Coughlin made a grand return to the TexAnns by winning the Ken Garland Invitational hosted by the University of North Texas. It was the senior’s first career win as she set a personal best time in the 5K with 17:52.99. Coughlin topped 85 runners in her win that included 54 Division I runners in helping the TexAnns to a fifth-place finish overall and first in the group of Division II schools. Its Coughlin’s first LSC weekly award.
Tarleton’s next meet is this Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Missouri Southern State Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
