(October 1, 2015) — Isabel Jimenez-Perea has been tabbed the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week after her performance in Colorado this week.
Jimenez-Perea climbed four spots on the individual leaderboard to finish in a four-way tie for second after carding a 73 in the final round and ended the tournament at even par (144). The senior’s performance, including a first-round score of 71, helped Tarleton win the GolfScrimmages.com National Championship Preview and finished seven strokes ahead of the second-place finisher. Jimenez-Perea had 26 pars and five birdies in the tournament.
It’s Jimenez-Perea’s fifth career LSC weekly award and her first of the 2015-16 season.
Tarleton golf has claimed an LSC weekly award after each of their two tournaments this season with Casey Wild winning the first award.
The TexAnns will play in the Dallas Baptist Classic at the Golf Club of Dallas on October 12-13.
