(October 16, 2015) — Quick and easy. Just the way homecoming wins should be.

Volleyball teams don’t always get to be part of homecoming festivities, but Tarleton State was able to include its Lone Star Conference co-leaders with its celebration Saturday.

Celebrating, by the way, is something the TexAnns are being accustomed to. Especially after 10 straight wins.

Tarleton (18-3, 8-1) achieved its longest win streak in its NCAA era Saturday, sweeping Texas A&M-Commerce (11-8, 4-5) to remain tied with Angelo State atop the LSC standings. The TexAnns, who have never won a regular season LSC title, dominated the Lions, 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

Haley Roberts aced a whopping eight serves less than 24 hours after acing seven to help the TexAnns stop the seven-match win streak held by Texas Woman’s. Both matches were at Wisdom Volleyball Gym.

The sophomore All-American from Cedar Park also registered 15 kills, seven digs and two blocks. Kelsey Raglin had eight kills, while Meg Umbel unloaded six blocks and four kills. Chandler Gow set them up with 33 assists.

The TexAnns can finally turn their attention to the biggest regular season match of the season. They host conference co-leader Angelo State at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and will be looking to avenge their only LSC loss that came in four sets at ASU on September 16.

Angelo State swept TWU Saturday, giving both ASU and Tarleton a two-game lead over the Pioneers.
