Dr. Bill Evans, Dr. Matthew Maruska and the staff at Cross Timbers Orthopaedics held a Christmas party Monday to help those less fortunate. Families brought children for photos with Santa and donated warm winter items such as coats, gloves and more that will be distributed through Grace Place. Refreshments were served, carolers sang and the CTO staff, especially Dr. Evans, even dressed the part. The festivities were topped off by the tallest elf any in attendance had ever seen – a role filled beautifully by 6 foot, 10 inch Tarleton basketball center Jakob Damstra, a pre-med student from Dublin.
