STEPHENVILLE (December 17, 2015) — EXIT Realty Holland & Associates welcomed the public to an open house Monday.

Only, it wasn’t your typical open house.

Joyce Holland and staff decked their home for sale at 1130 N. Harbin Drive out for Christmas, prepared refreshments and welcomed the public to see the home while dropping off blankets and gloves to be distributed by Meals on Wheels of Erath County to local seniors.

The fundraiser, the kickoff event of a new monthly 2nd Monday GIVE BACK promotion that is a brainstorm of the local real estate brokerage, but it didn’t end after the three hour open house Monday.

Blankets and gloves were still being brought in to the EXIT Realty Holland & Associates office on Wednesday, with totals by Thursday morning soaring to 142 blankets and 138 gloves.

“That is so exciting, especially for the first (fundraiser),” said Joyce Holland, owner/broker. “We had wonderful community participation. We would love to get to 200 and are still accepting donations.”

To donate to the blanket and glove drive, visit the EXIT Realty Holland & Associates office at 1359 W. South Loop.
