(December 28, 2015) — The honors continue to roll in for Kourtney Seaton and Faith Faulkner.

Seaton, a senior middle blocker from Stephenville was named second-team all-state in Class 4A by the Texas Sportswriters Association, marking her second all-state honor of the season. Faulkner was listed as an honorable-mention all-state selection in 3A by the TSWA.

Seaton, also named all-state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, helped the Honeybees to a perfect 8-0 mark in 6-4A, winning the district championship with a record of 24-3 in sets played. Head coaches voted Seaton the MVP of the district.

Stephenville defeated Wichita Falls Hirschi, Godley and Vernon in the opening round of the playoffs, reaching the regional tournament for the first time since 2012. There, the Bees became the first playoff team to take a set from No. 1 Bushland, but lost in four to the eventual state finalist.

Seaton followed Stephenville’s regional quarterfinal victory by signing a national letter of intent with Northwestern State (La.), which competes in Division I of the NCAA as part of the Southland Conference.

Faulkner, also a senior middle blocker, helped Dublin to its second straight perfect run through district and on to the area round of the playoffs. Dublin came one set short of winning an area championship for the first time in program history.
