Ray Howard, born February 21, 1937 in Weinert, Texas to parents Arlie and Maud (Jones) Howard, passed away January 12, 2016 in Hico, Texas. Ray was known as “Son”. Ray was a graduate of Wyoming University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering, was a Mason, served in the US Army as 1st Lieutenant. Ray enjoyed working for oil companies both overseas and stateside, and was crane equipment operator, and was fond of playing “42”. Preceding Ray are his parents and sisters Jaunell Thackerson and Maudie Lou Thompson. Survived by wife of 52 years, Bessie (Bess) Howard, sons Gene Ray Howard and wife Janey of Glen Rose, Texas, Darel W. Howard and wife Lori of Granbury, Texas. . Also surviving Ray are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews three sisters, Wanda Bullard and husband Bobby of Hico, Texas, Mary White of Glen Carbon, Illinois and Carol Jackson of Hamilton, Texas.
