ERATH COUNTY (January 30, 2016) — A grass fire broke out behind Pidgeon Road Shooting Range Saturday afternoon about 12:30 p.m., spreading quickly to a row of hay bales and jumping a fence onto neighboring property.
As of 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Erath County Volunteer Fire & Rescue and other departments were still on scene extinguishing the flames, which by then were contained.
