Granbury – Services for William (Bill) David Leans, 87, retired purchaser, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016 with military honors at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Williams officiating. He will be buried at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
Bill, also known as “Digger” was born in Suva, Fiji Islands on March 4, 1928 to Frank Leans and Grace Lillian (Terry) Leans. He married Gail Joan Miranda on August 16, 1989, in Aptos, California.
He was a Corporal in the United States Army and a member of the New Zealand Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; Gail Joan Leans of Granbury, 4 children: Laurie Leans of Stagecoach, NV., Pam Paser and husband, John of Plano, Jenifer Leans of Austin, Chris Lunsford of Granbury, 7 grandchildren; Kyle, Kim, Kailee, Ben, Danielle, Layne, and Christina. He was preceded in death by his sister; Joyce Pardee in 2012.
