According to officials at the Stephenville Police Department, the two suspects turned themselves in Monday, after the information was released to the public. After being released by the police department, Iwobi and Riojas went back to the scene and cleaned up the mess they made Thursday.

“City officials said they would not press charges on the subjects as they were remorseful and willing to clean up the graffiti,” Lt. Doug McClammy said.

Tarleton officials has this to say about the incident Monday morning:

“We are aware of the incident regarding one of our student-athletes and we are very disappointed that this situation has come up,” said TSU Athletics Director, Lonn Reisman. “At this point, we are going to cooperate with the Stephenville Police Department as they conduct their investigation. We have no further comment at this time.”

  1. I haven’t seen any mention in any report of the nature of the graffiti. Anyone have any info on what these two wrote?

  2. They drew flowers and wrote the abbreviated names of the towns they are from. Photos are on our Facebook as well as the Stephenville PD Facebook page.
