Connie Nelson

Connie Nelson, 41, of Wylie, Texas passed away at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.  Connie was born in Deleon, Texas on May 10, 1974 to parents, Jesus Medina and Antonia Garcia Medina.  After graduating from High School Connie got her degree in Computer Information Systems at Tarleton State University.  Before her illness Connie was a software engineer with Watch Guard Video. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wylie.

Connie married Travis Lee Nelson on June 28, 1997 in Stephenville, Texas.  They have two children, son, Michael Cory Nelson and daughter, Isabela Marie Nelson.

Connie is survived by her husband, Travis Lee Nelson of Wylie, children, Michael Cory Nelson and Isabela Marie Nelson also of Wylie, her parents Jesus and Antonia Medina of Stephenville, Texas and her two brothers, Arnoldo Medina of Stephenville, Texas and Mervin Medina of Kyle, Texas, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM.  Rosary will be conducted at 7:30 PM on Sunday.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. also at St. Anthony Catholic Church.  The graveside service at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery is pending at this time.
