STEPHENVILLE (April 28, 2016) – Fresh off back-to-back seasons of 20.0 points per game at Brownwood High School, Trejouir Wilson is set to continue her career with Tarleton this fall.
“We’re thrilled to have Trejouir become part of the TexAnn family,” said Tarleton head coach Misty Wilson. “She’s a very quick guard who can defend and handle the ball. She also has a great outside shot. Being close by, she knows our program well and will fit in well.”
Trejouir is coming off a senior campaign at Brownwood, where she led her team to the UIL Regional Tournament for the first time in school history. The senior Lion averaged 20.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and 4.3 assists per game last year en route to earning her second consecutive all-state honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA).
She claimed her first all-state accolades as a junior when she scored 20.7 points, grabbed 2.8 rebounds, had 3.6 steals, and 2.0 assists per game. She also racked up first-team Big Country Super Team, first-team All-Big Country, TABC All-Region team, and District 6-4A in back-to-back seasons.
Trejouir also finishes her high school career as Brownwood’s all-time leading scorer with 1,682 points.
She becomes the fifth member of Tarleton’s recruiting class. She joins Kylie Collins, Hannah Allen, Lanie Roberts, and Division I transfer Mackenzie Hailey.
