STEPHENVILLE (May 6, 2016) – Jack Almond, 86, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died Friday, May 6, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at West End Cemetery in Stephenville with Chaplin Bobby Machen officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Jack was born in Maynor, West Virginia, on October 29, 1929, to Walker and Eva (Douglas) Almond. He was a welder by trade. He married Geneva Mae Moten on April 3, 1950, in Lewisburg, West Virginia. He was a regular exerciser and loved his sports. He was involved in the Stephenville Softball and Bowling leagues. He represented Stephenville by playing pool in the Texas Senior Games, where he won a gold medal.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Mae Almond of Stephenville; his children, Connie Mulloy and husband, Tom, of Stephenville, John Almond and wife, Sandy, of Holland, Ohio, and Karen Kime and husband, Rick, of Stephenville; grandchildren, Daniel Almond and Matt Almond; great-grandchildren, Payton Almond, Aubrey Almond, and Caden Almond; Ava and Michael Zender, and Nathen Maier, and his brother; Douglas Almond of Maryland.
