Dedicated Wife, loving Mother and cherished Grandmother, Lillian “Marie” Pettijohn was born on March 17, 1932. She entered heaven’s gates on May 17, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Marie was the daughter of Elder James Edmond Robertson and Addie Mae (Wright) Robertson. She was united in marriage to A. J. “Bill” Pettijohn on January 3, 1950 in Comanche Co., Texas and to this union 4 children were born.

Marie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She reached out in the world more than she realized through her love and guidance. Her door was always open and a quick visit over homemade pie brought sunshine to the cloudiest days.

Marie is reunited with her beloved husband, Bill and 2 daughters – Brenda Snider and Judy Sloan, and also by 2 brothers – Otha “Nig” Oliver Robertson and James Edmond “Archie” Robertson. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law – A. J., Jr. and Jackie Pettijohn of Gustine, Texas; her daughter & son-in-law, Debora & Lee Webester of Houston, Texas; her sisters – June Muruazack of Wickliffe, Ohio & Darlene McDonald of Houston; her grandchildren: Lynn Lambert, Lisa Gentry, Leslie Hall, Misty Prince, Aaron Pettijohn, Krystal Gilmore, Kelly Wright and Heather Schad; 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Marie and her husband, Bill were members of the Edna Hill Baptist Church.
