STEPHENVILLE (August 12, 2016) — In conjunction with its season opening scrimmage Friday, Stephenville is holding its annual athletic booster club hamburger supper fundraiser and also raising funds at the gate for the “Our Day to Shine” campaign.
Stephenville welcomes White Settlement Brewer to Tarleton’s Memorial Stadium with freshman play beginning at 5 p.m,, junior varsity play at 6 and varsity action at 7. The hamburger supper is $5 and comes with fixings, drink and desert.
The Texas High School Coaches Association Benevolence Fund, which benefits families of high school coaches and players who have suffered debilitating injuries, is the beneficiary of “Our Day to Shine.” Admission will be $1 for the campaign, but larger donations are also accepted.
Here is a look at the slate of Friday scrimmages involving area teams, with approximate varsity start times:
Dublin at Venus, 6:30 p.m.
Brewer at Stephenville, 7 p.m.
Hico at Early, 7 p.m.
De Leon at Bosqueville, 7 p.m.
