Stephenville splits against 6A foes at Volleypalooza

(August 25, 2016) — Stephenville split on day one of the Leander Volleypalooza, winning one and losing one against 6A competition Thursday.

The Honeybees finished on a high note, dominating San Antonio Salvio, 25-17 and 25-14, after beginning the tournament with a 25-19, 25-22 loss to San Antonio Holmes.

Niconal Stilwell had 10 kills and Taylor Garber tallied 14 assists and six digs in the win over Salvio. Jayci Morton had seven kills, Garber 19 assists and Hailey Martin 13 digs in the loss to Holmes.

The tournament continues Friday and concludes Saturday.
