STEPHENVILLE (August 31, 2016) — Responding to the significant increase in parking demand, Tarleton State University has reached agreement with Lone Star Coaches to begin providing free shuttle bus service from The Grove and Mustang Ranch and from the First Baptist Church Paradigm parking lot to campus, beginning on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Shuttles will not be available on Friday, Sept. 2, but will resume service on Tuesday, Sept. 6 after the Labor Day holiday. The buses also will not be available on Friday, Sept. 23.

Using 40 passenger motor coaches, Lone Star will operate two routes, one from Frey Street between The Grove and Mustang Ranch to the tennis courts and the second from First Baptist Paradigm, 555 W. Washington St., to the tennis courts. With students riding the shuttles, the parking overflow should be eliminated.

The schedule for Shuttle 1 from Frey Street will begin at 7:15 a.m. and run until 9:15 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Tuesdays, the shuttle will discontinue at 4:15 p.m. and on Fridays at 3:15 p.m.

Shuttle 2 will run from the First Baptist Paradigm parking lot from 7:30 each morning and end at 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and at 3 p.m. on Fridays.

On Sept. 26, the service will switch to CARR, which provided the shuttle service for the university the past two years.
