Stephenville – Services for Layla G. Whitehead, 74, a homemaker, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Lacy Funeral Home.
Layla was born in Freeport, Texas on August 23, 1942 to Aubrey and Grace (Young) Graham. She married Weldon Leroy Whitehead on March 24, 1961, in Houston, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2012.
She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Stephenville, Texas.
Survivors include her three children, Clint Whitehead of Lewisville, Texas, Wade Whitehead and wife, Janna of Stephenville, Texas, and Todd Whitehead of Stephenville, Texas; three siblings, Ronnie Graham of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Nancy Akery and husband, Conrad of Houston, Texas, and Beverly Nelson and husband, Jim of San Antonio, Texas; grandson, Cade Whitehead of Stephenville, Texas.
