AGR fraternity hosting team roping for good cause

STEPHENVILLE (October 11, 2016) — Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity at Tarleton is giving back to the community through team roping.

AGR is hosting a team roping at Lone Star Arena this Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will feature the #10 and #12 ropings. Books open at 7 a.m. and roping begins at 9 a.m. for the #10, with books opening at noon and the roping beginning at 1 p.m. for the #12. On Sunday, books open at 7 and roping starts at 9 for the #8 roping, and books open at noon with roping starting at 1 for the #9.

Cost is $150 a man, and it’s pick one, draw two.

“Fraternities commonly get a reputation for not being the greatest of neighbors and members of the community, but we would like the opportunity to show that we are involved in the community and are active in our philanthropic endeavors,” says J. Wylie Haile, a member of AGR and one of the event organizers.
