(October 11, 2016) — It took four sets as opposed to the usual three, but the result will look the same in the win-loss column for Stephenville.

The Honeybees won their fifth straight 8-4A district match Tuesday, cruising through two sets before hiccuping in the third then finishing off the Lady Indians in the fourth, 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 25-16.

The road will get tougher on Friday when Stephenville visits Glen Rose at 4:30 p.m. First place in 8-4A will likely be determined by the result, with Glen Rose (9-0) leading the Honeybees (8-1) by a game and everyone else at least two games back with five matches remaining.

Nicona Stilwell led the way for the Honeybees, cranking out 12 kills, four aces and six blocks. Taylor Garber had 23 assists, 10 digs, four kills and three blocks.

Other key performers were Jayci Morton and Emily Brandon with six kills each, while Brandon also registered three blocks. Hailey Martin reached double figures in digs with 10.
