(October 19, 2016) — Hico is one win away from clinching another 8-2A district volleyball championship.

The Lady Tigers swept Evant and Mullin in its last two outings, and visit Hamilton at 4 p.m. Friday to try and wrap up the district title. Hico beat Hamilton in four sets at Hico earlier in the district race. It’s the only 8-2A match where the Lady Tigers needed more than just three sets. They are 36-1 in sets played in the district.

Against Mullin Tuesday, Kaylee Moore had 36 assists and Marissa Warren collected six kills to fuel the 25-10, 25-13, 25-15 victory. The win over Evant last weekend was just as dominant with scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-11. Moore made 39 assists, Kaylee Roach had 14 kills and Shelby Polk added nine kills.
