Tarleton is traveling to Angelo State to take on the No. 10-ranked Rambelles in a battle of the top two teams in the Lone Star Conference.

THE GAME
Tarleton (18-4, 10-3) plays Angelo State (20-2, 11-1) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Junell Center.

ABOUT THE TEXANNS
Tarleton is coming off a sweep on the road against Texas Woman’s on Saturday, giving the TexAnns 13 sweeps on the year. Tarleton is 6-2 on the road heading into Wednesday’s match. The TexAnns rank second in the Lone Star Conference with a 10-3 conference record. Offensively, Tarleton leads the LSC in assists per set with 13.25 and kills per set at 14.26. Hailey Roberts is the nation’s leader in kills with 418 while Jordyn Keamo is sixth in the nation in aces with 45 and 16th in assists per set at 11.32. Defensively, Adrianna Knutson has 350 digs on the year to lead the TexAnns and her 4.55 digs per set ranks third in the Lone Star Conference. Hannah McManus is the team leader in blocks with 75 and is seventh in the LSC in blocks per set with 0.97.

ABOUT THE RAMBELLES
Angelo State is ranked No. 10 in the nation in the latest AVCA poll. The Rambelles are first in the LSC with an 11-1 league record and have won seven straight. ASU is 9-0 at home this season. The Rambelles are led by Mallory Blauser’s 317 kills and Meghan Parker’s 859 assists on the year. Parker also has 29 aces to lead the team. On defense, ASU’s Brianna Sotello’s 251 digs tops the team and Morgan Seaton has a team-high 67 blocks.

SERIES HISTORY
Tarleton and Angelo State are meeting for the 48th time since the first match up in 1978. Angelo State leads the series history 32-15.
