STEPHENVILLE (October 28, 2016) – Ranger College will host its second annual horror film festival on Oct. 29 from 1-9 p.m. Ranger professor Matt Cardin will lecture over each of the three films playing and hold discussions afterward. The festival is open and free to the public.
This year’s theme is monsters. John Carpenter’s The Thing will begin at 1 p.m. Monsters will play at 4 p.m. Lastly, The Mist will begin at 7 p.m.
“All of the movies were picked for their social and cultural values and because they are cool movies,” Cardin said. “Horror films make us look at things we would rather not look at.”
Seating is limited to about 80 seats, but there will be an overflow room. Concessions will be for sale throughout the event.
