Graham thumps Stephenville boys, 68-39

STEPHENVILLE (November 21, 2016) — Stephenville found the going tough against Graham Monday afternoon in Gandy Gym, where the Yellow Jackets slipped to 0-2 on the season with a 68-39 loss.

Stephenville was led by Clay Krause  with seven points, Easton Jones with six and Merit Holstein, Coby Vandenberg and Braden Hayes with five each. Quade Griffin netted three, Sid Davis two, Cole Pettit two and Mason Holstein two.

 

Graham held a narrow 12-8 lead after the first, but blew the game open with a 23-7 margin in the second quarter. It was 55-28 by the end of the third.

The Steers were led by Steven Kimberling with 27 points.

Stephenville returns to action with its first road game at Springtown Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
