Ranger College to graduate 70 during Dec. 2 commencement ceremony

BROWNWOOD (December 1, 2016) – More than a few West Texas residents will take a major step forward in their educational careers this Friday evening in Brownwood when they participate in Ranger College’s 2016 Fall commencement exercises. In all, approximately 70 students from the college’s campuses in Ranger, Stephenville and Brownwood will receive degrees during the ceremony which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Coggin Street Baptist Church.

Ranger College President William J. Campion praised each of the graduating students for their hard work and determination to reach this point.

“We’re so very proud of each of the young men and women for what they have accomplished,” said Campion. “This will be a major milestone in their lives, and is something they and their families can be proud of for many years. I want to personally congratulate each and every one of them for reaching this point.”

During the ceremony, Campion and members of the Ranger College Board of Regents will present graduating sophomores with their Associate Degrees, as well as present nursing and cosmetology degrees to those completing the college’s Associate Degree Nursing and Cosmetology programs.

Dr. Joe Young will serve as the guest speaker for the event. Dr. Young currently serves as the superintendent of schools for Brownwood Independent School District.
